Collection: Reducing Anxiety

LITTLE KIDS & BIG WORRIES:

Your child's anxiety may present itself in the form of nervousness, fear, shyness and/or avoidance. While older children have the ability to verbalize their thoughts, very young children may not have the words to describe their feelings. Help manage those big emotions and stressful situations with coping strategies for self regulation, soothing table top activities, yoga, progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing strategies, and deep pressure instruction. LEARN MORE...

SENSORY RELIEF FOR ANXIETY REDUCTION:

Sensory calming activities provide sensory input and help your child to stay calm and self-regulate when feeling restless, angry and/or frustrated.

Some children develop anxiety after stressful situations or events:

  • High expectations and pressure to succeed in school, higher education and/or standardized testing
  • Lack of safety felt in the school setting and other public places
  • An increase in school shootings and an increase in school safety prevention (lockdowns)
  • Watching, reading or listening to the news
  • A constant connection to social media
  • Public Health (COVID-19)
  • Social distancing from family and friends
  • Changes in schedules and routines
